Where do we fit in this world we are borrowing, and what does the experience of being human mean? My preoccupation is to try and encapsulate a particular atmosphere and emotion in my work that speaks to these questions. Through committing to each painting and engaging fully with the materials I aim to create objects which have some power to move people in ways which are difficult to articulate.

I work mainly in large scale oils but have recently expanded my practice into printmaking.  I am involved in various collaborative projects including 'On The Stage of the Present' cross art form improvisation (led by Tom Pritchard); and 28 Drawings Later an online non-curated drawing exhibition.
