Exhibiting artists' work... where they work

12 locations, TWO days, ONCE a year

Saturday 3rd October 11am - 5pm

Sunday 4th October 12pm - 5pm 2009

Wasps Artists' Open Studios Weekend is now established as one of Scotland's largest annual celebrations of visual art and is the only time of year when hundreds of artists' studios across Scotland are open to the public.  Around 200 artists at 11 buildings in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, Irvine, Paisley, Selkirk, Newburgh in Fife and Nairn will take part this year and showcase a huge variety of art, from painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking and photography to digital media, jewellery, glass, installation and sculpture.

A big thank you to everyone who came along to the event this year and also to our studio artists who took part. The event was a great success with 3,800 visitors coming along to see what goes on in our buildings across Scotland.

We are currently evaluating the event and need as much feedback from Artists that took part as possible. If you are one of the artists who took part in the event then we would really appreciate your thoughts on the weekend went. All feedback helps us to think about how we can make the event better next year with the resources that we have.

The survey is available in two formats, an online survey or a form you can either print off and post to us or email back to us - whichever is easiest!

Since the event began in 2002, almost 30,000 visitors have had the chance to meet artists in their studios, chat to them about their work and learn the tricks of a number of different creative trades. The event has also generated almost £310,000 in sales and commissions - money which goes directly into artists' pockets.

Wasps Artists' Open Studios Weekend 2010 will take place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd October. If you wish to receive updates in the lead up to Wasps Open Studios Weekend 2010 please join our mailing list.
