Hanson Street, Glasgow

The Hanson Street studios are located in the East End of Glasgow, around 20 minutes walk from the city centre. The former tobacco factory was renovated in 2001 to create purpose-built studios for 150 artists, a 4000 sq ft project space, a public café and two residential artists’ flats.

Availability

Two bedrooms are currently available for let throughout 2009. We have a short term let studio which is 178 sq ft (14 sq m). Even if there are rooms available in the flat, this doesn't always mean that the short term let studio will also be available so if you need studio space as well as accommodation, make sure you contact us well in advance of your planned stay. We currently have availablilty for both until April 2009.

Cost

£275.00 per calendar month all inclusive per room and £109.95 for studio.

You can apply to use the space by posting or emailing a CV along with images of your work and an outline of how you would intend to use your time at Hanson Street during your stay to Helen Moore, our Communications and Tenant Liaison Officer.

Hanson Street Studios - Facilities

Living accommodation

There is a three bedroom flat with a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom. Each bedroom has a double bed with bedding and clothes storage space. The flat has a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with accessible shower, wireless broadband access, pay telephone and T.V.

Working Spaces

Tthe studio is 178 sq ft in size, north facing and has good natural light.
