Availability

The Steeple has recently opened and we are now taking bookings for 2010/11. We would consider all applications for bookings of the short term let flat and studio space which last between one and three months. If you are an arts organization based in Perth or Dundee, we would also be very keen to provide accommodation for any visiting artists you may have coming to work on projects. We currently have vacancy in August 2010 and if you would be interested in finding out more about booking this month or any month in 2011, please call the Wasps office on 0141 553 5890.

Cost

The facilities are £430 per calendar month all inclusive for a flat and studio. Once your booking has been confirmed we would ask you to pay a deposit of £100 by cheque to secure your booking. This deposit will be refunded after your stay provided you return the keys and leave the accomodation and studio in like condition.

Around two months before your stay we would invoice you for the remainder of the rent which is £430.00. Should you cancel your booking two months or less before your stay then you will forfeit your deposit.

How to Apply

The Location

Newburgh is situated in North Fife, Scotland. The setting is beautiful and overlooks the River Tay. It is situated just within the boundary of the Kingdom of Fife, 5 miles from Perth and 15 miles from Dundee. The Steeple itself is a prominent historical building in the town’s High Street and was empty for many years until Wasps set out to redevelop it back in 2001. There is a strong community of artists living in and around the area who are very welcoming to new artists visiting the town.

Dundee has a strong arts scene, partly due to the presence of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Dundee Contemporary Arts alongside a number of other galleries and projects. Perth also has a number of galleries including one of the UK's oldest museums.
