RICS Commendation for the Steeple, Newburgh
Wednesday 22, April 2009
The Steeple in Newburgh, our newest studio and residency facility has received its third accolade – a Commendation in the RICS Scotland Awards 2009 Regeneration category. This follows on from selection for inclusion in the Architecture Scotland Annual 2008 and the winning an award from the Dundee Institute of Architects late last year.
The awards, organised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in Scotland, recognise the achievements of land, property and construction professionals in four categories – Sustainability, Building Conservation, Regeneration and Community Benefit.
RICS Scotland Director Graeme Hartley said that The steeple received commendation for providing excellent facilities and the way in which it means that Newburgh Town Hall has been "sensitively and creatively brought back into use"
