Langstane Place Studios

Langstane Studios, is a former print works. With support from the Scottish Arts Council Capital Lottery Fund, Aberdeen City Council and Scottish Enterprise Grampian, we were able to buy and redevelop this building back in 2005. This building houses 32 studios over 3 floors and currently supports 39 artists. In addition to studios, this building also has a shop-front project space run by local arts organisation Project Slogan in partnership with Photoghost - a photographic production facility. 


Langstane Place will be open to the public on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October as part of Wasps Open Studios 2014. Open  12noon - 5pm both days. Full details of additional activities below:

Drawing Workshop with Fiona Swapp, First Floor, all-day drop-in session
Join Fiona for a drawing workshop reflecting the Big Draw’s theme, ‘It's Our World, a celebration of our environment including urban, rural and coastal landscapes’. Participants will be invited to make a drawing which they can take away or add to a collective mural.

Visual Art Workshop with Debbie Forsyth, First Floor, all-day drop-in session
Take part in a visual arts workshop drawing on the themes of The Big Draw with artist Debby Forsyth. Participants will have a chance to take part in hands-on activity and take home their own art-work.

Portrait Demonstration, Third Floor
Painter Keith Byres will deliver a portrait demonstration in his studio space visitors are welcome to come along, watch and ask questions.

Suited, a performance by Peter McRae,  in Signature Menswear shop window, 349 Union Street (just by the old Bruce Millers music store clock),

The Nutcracker, a performance by Peter McRae, Third Floor, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm


This is a city centre location, right next to Union St and about 5 mins walk from Aberdeen train station.


There is no lift at this site and limited disabled access is limited with only the ground floor studios being wheelchair accessible.
