Shore Lane Studios, Aberdeen
This building is the latest addition to the network and provides 10 studios at first floor level.
Wasps purchased the building in June 2008 from retired local businessman, Ken Irons. When Ken's late wife, Jean, couldn't get a studio in Aberdeen in the late 1990s, Ken purchased the building.
Together they set up a charity known as NEAPS and leased the building from Ken who, in turn, leased the studio spaces to individual artists.
We are extremely grateful to Ken Irons who sold the building to Wasps at a very favourable price and, when winding up the NEAPS charity, transferred the outstanding balance to Wasps to invest in the Shore Lane Studios.
