There are 70 artists practising a variety of disciplines in this former 1930s Government works building in Edinburgh's West End.
The 40 individual studios available are a range of sizes over a number of levels. Please note that there is limited lift access and visitors or artists with disability may require assistance.
Wasps Artists' Open Studios Weekend 2009: West Park Place will have an exhibition of artists work and a cafe set up in the basement/entrance area. The cafe will be operated by Delish Salad and Sandwich bar and will be the perfect place to meet and talk about the work on show! If you can't wait until the weekend, you can visit Delish at 59 Dalry Road, Edinburgh EH11 2BS.
Directions
Buses 3, 33, 4, 44, from Princes Street to Dalry Road. Get off at Sommerfield Supermarket and walk back up Dalry Road. The turning for West Park Place is on the same side of the street as Sommerfield. Alternatively, catch the bus or train to Haymarket and the studios are a 10 minute walk at most.
Accessibility
West Park Place is a warren of studios over a number of floors. Unfortunately there is only limited lift access and some of the flooring is carpeted. Visitors with disability will therefore require assistance.
