Make art in Scalloway, the ancient capital of Shetland where The Booth is located, overlooking the East Voe water. Built in 2001 by the Scalloway Waterfront Trust, this combined studio and living space exists on the site of the oldest building in town. The property is jointly managed by Wasps and Shetland Arts.

The Shetland Islands are the most northerly part of the UK, located one hundred and fifty miles north of the Scottish mainland. The islands have a complex ancient history, with close links to Scandinavia and a unique cultural tradition of music and craft making. Scalloway is a picturesque village home to around a thousand people. The Booth is situated along the pier, where there are often fishing boats and vessels stationed.
