Join the artists of Neuk Collective for Neuk Perspectives, a celebration of neurodivergent talent, creativity and community. Join Neuk Collective for the opening event on Wednesday 3 July, 6pm-8pm.

Discover Neuk Perspectives this summer! Join us for a vibrant exhibition showcasing the diverse talents of 42 neurodivergent artists from across Scotland, brought to you by the artists of Neuk Collective. From textiles to glass, ceramics to paintings, and from sculpture to sound, embrace the unique perspectives and voices that shape our community.

Neuk Collective is a dynamic, neurodivergent-led initiative focused on promoting and supporting neurodivergent artists across Scotland (e.g. artists who are autistic, dyspraxic, dyslexic, ADHD, etc). Through exhibitions, workshops, and peer support, Neuk Collective aims to foster an inclusive art environment where diverse voices are heard and celebrated.

Established in 2020, Neuk Collective emerged in response to the significant barriers that neurodivergent artists face within the Scottish arts scene. In 2021, the collective published the Neuk Manifesto—a call to dismantle systemic barriers and enhance accessibility for neurodivergent people in the arts.

As well as showcasing the work of our members, Neuk Perspectives also serves as a model for designing art exhibitions that are inclusive and accessible to neurodivergent visitors. We’ve tried to make sure that everyone can enjoy the exhibition comfortably, with features including:

  • A quiet space for visitors who need a break from sensory stimulation
  • Availability of ear defenders and sensory supports like stim toys
  • Easy Read exhibition interpretation
  • Closed captions for video content
  • A Visual Story available pre-event to help visitors familiarise themselves with the environment
  • The opening event (3rd July) will be British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted
