We often talk about details in musical expression in terms of colours and shapes. This series of paintings is part of a bigger project which involves a close collaboration with contemporary composers and musicians where the analogies become concrete.
In doing these paintings I am taking on a musicians position in relation to music, trying to explore the possible ways of expressing musical shapes and colours.

I am a Swedish/German Violin Maker as well as an Artist and my artistic practice is much influenced by the close contact I get with musicians through my work. I am also collaborating with musicians and composers to bring me closer to music and to let painting intertwine with music in a mutually expansive and enriching way.
