Tarney and Dolan
Tarney and Dolan is a slow made jewellery project founded by artist Katie Eyre. Originally developed in 2018, this wearable collection of tactile shapes started out as playful objects made mainly from polymer clay. Today the collection incorporates brass, silver and semi precious stones. A focus on conscious and sustainable making is increasing and practices which reflect this are being established. The name is a marrying of both Katie’s Grandmothers’ maidens names and pays homage to the many women who have come before us and passed on their wisdom, joy and strength. Each piece is crafted with care by hand in the Glasgow studio.
