Joanna Kinnersly-Taylor
Joanna is a printed textile artist and designer who works from her studio in Glasgow, exhibiting her fine art pieces both in the UK and internationally. Her practice embraces site-specific, often large-scale commissions for public, corporate and private interiors. Responding to daily life within the domestic environment, she creates abstract works that aim to imbue a quiet familiarity, capturing a moment, atmosphere or environment. Working mostly on linen, her unique multi-layered dyeing and printing process interleaves shadow and light, creating visual rhythms and a depth and transparency that is both architectural and ethereal. With her domestic linens, she employs a graphic style on items such as tea towels and table linen, which are made to order.
