Artists of The Courtyard in Irvine are looking for Artists of The Courtyard in Irvine are looking forward to hosting a festive open studios event next weekend at the historic former excise office on Harbour Street. Visitors will be treated to a glass of mulled wine while they meet this small, close-knit group of amazing artists for a look around their workspaces and a chat about their practice. There will also be work for sale. The studio doors of the following artists will be open: Margaret Carslaw, Sheila Kerr, Graham McKean, Margaret Johnston, Kelly Jackson, David Reid, Brian Craig, Becky Brannan, Keith Salmon, Nita Salmon, Emma Milligan, Robert Livingstone, May Byrne, Tracy Scott and Alison Thomas. Patriothall’s artist community are hosting a wee Patriothall’s artist community are hosting a weekend-long open studios event at the end of November, with renowned painters, ceramicists and printmakers allowing you in for a rare look at their inner sanctums. It's the perfect chance to get acquainted with some of Edinburgh's celebrated artists - see them engaged in their practice, admire works in progress and wander the corridors of this former co-operative bakery in the heart of Stockbridge, built in the 1850s. Ceramicist Tokes Sharif of @studiobrae, painter Elaine Speirs @elainespeirsesme, painter James Lumsden @james_lumsden_artist and tapestry maker Fiona Hutchison @fionahutchisontapestry will be welcoming you in for a look around. The small, close-knit group of artists based at Ca The small, close-knit group of artists based at Cannonwalls and Claverhouse in Kirkcudbright is banding together to host a one-day open studios event, which offers a rare chance for visitors to see into their private creative spaces. Among those opening their doors are textile artist Laura Derby, jeweller Lizzie Gault, photographer David Quinn, sculptor and printmaker Anne Waggot Knott and mixed media artist Joanna McLeman. The Cannonwalls and Claverhouse facility at 167 High Street is two early Victorian former town houses, now linked by corridors that connect them, and provides 14 studios spaces across three levels.
