Gael Hillyard

Gael Hillyard is a Scottish artist, writer and thinker with two Wasps’ spaces, one of which is possibly the entire estate.

She grew up in a large Victorian atelier in England, where from a young age she helped prepare painting surfaces and set up materials for the resident artists. She later became an interior designer, teaching the topic for several years to students from around the world before setting up her own art practice.

She paints mainly in watercolour and oil, often images of small houses and the sea, and sometimes explores the cosmos and consciousness in her visual work and blog. Many works include found objects.

Gael also writes content, articles, testimonials, award applications and sales and advertising material for a diverse range of clients around the UK, including property consultants, medical professionals, and private individuals.
