Daybreak at Abriachan, Scottish Highlands. Acrylic on paper.

contemporary painter | creative explorer

Many of my paintings include collage and found objects, including old paper, metal, glass, dried plant materials (and the occasional insect). Themes such as light, space, and buildings feature in my work due to much of my childhood spent exploring the many oddly shaped rooms of a studio rich with stucco, faded wallpaper, and large dusty windows.

When not painting, I deliver online, face to face, and hybrid workshops to groups throughout the Highlands on art, crafts, and creativity, where I share my experience and knowledge with focus on enhancing practical, and observation skills, and increasing self-confidence, critical thinking and curiosity.
