Leo Plumb
Born in 1989, I studied at Glasgow School of Art, Estonian Academy of Arts and Leeds Metropolitan University. My projects as a visual artist have focussed on urban environments and multi-media assemblage. I work on lots of projects that are very different, and have a lot of fun collaborating too.
I was a founding member of Mexico Project Space, a curatorial group in Leeds from 2011-2014. This project responded to the the artists-led movement that followed the 2008 global economic crash. I developed and presented collaborative content as part of Distance, Speed, Time with Celia Garcia, Julie Laing, Leila Smith and Sebastian Tay between 2015 – 2021 to form exhibitions and research development.
Now, I work from the Briggait in Glasgow. Both as an artist and as a community organiser, with a strong
interest in grassroots movements and trade unions in Scotland.
