Brave Sunset – Geckor

‘Brave Sunset’ is Geckor’s latest series of surreal and retro styled acrylic paintings. The art explores themes of change, courage, and growth which are conveyed through his incredibly precise imagery, and beloved characters of our childhood. These pop culture icons often play the brave hero in adversity and are visually reimagined in a world of abstract nostalgia and geometric patterns.

Artist Statement – 

My art is an attempt to reconnect feelings of nostalgia and positivity for the audience and myself. I love to try and tell stories through the shapes and features of pop culture icons, including my own original characters and imagery. My work is a bold and surreal blend of razor-clean compositions which offer a sense of escapism.
