Three women artists present a group show with a mix of many practices including painting, drawing, collage, objects and textiles. Sally Hobson’s installation work explores, using text and textile, the unconscious influences on life within the personal and the universal. Rebecca Green’s work in this show is a sharing of doodlings with objects, collage and smart phone snaps in search of the moment. Mary Trodden’s exhibition work shows events from everyday life, work, meetings, encounters with neighbours, unconscious imagined psychological events. Borrowed imagery from history and echoes of contemporary life, the colours separate what is essentially the same experience.

Rebecca Green works with overlaps and fusions of live performance, painting, writing, object making and participation.

Mary Trodden makes large scale stylised drawings, fantastical and rooted in antiquated symbols. The narratives within her work, however inaccurately, reflect the events of her life.

Sally Hobson works with textiles and text to explore the deeper unseen elements of personal narratives.

The private viewing of Studio 205 will be held on Friday 7 October, 6:30pm-9pm at Patriothall, Stockbridge.
