This body of work meditates on the vigil as a response to the uncertainties of life in today’s world, the unknowns of life in general.

Originally from South Africa, Janice Deary now lives in Scotland and has a studio in Newburgh (Wasps, The Steeple). After pursuing her academic interests in Philosophy, Janice decided to turn to Fine Art, achieving an MFA from the University of Dundee in 2020.
