Braw Illustrations is a Scottish freelance illustration service, founded by Duncan of Jordanstone design graduate, Karen MacAllister.
With a specialism in Illustration & Printmaking, Karen is a published, skilled and experienced practitioner in producing illustrative work in a variety of styles and techniques. Karen has a specialist interest in children’s illustration.
Karen likes to connect people of all ages with imagery, and help clients tell a story to their customers.
”My Family is So Scottish” is a children’s picture book for young (and old) bairns, written by Kirstin McNeil and illustrated by Karen. Shortlisted in 2023 at London Book Fair.
”Daddy’s Scared of Beasties” is Kirstin and Karen’s second children’s picture book and was released in 2023. Shortlisted Feb 2024.
