Red, the robin, is another of Adalime’s life-like birds. She is also made from a clear base, and she’s been hand-built using colours near the colour theme of the garden bird. Glass paint has also been added for smaller details around the wing and tail.

Red is made with fused glass cut into shapes and layered before heading to the kiln to be fired. After Red has been moulded beautifully into a solid glass bird sculpture, she is then ready to become an addition to any home. She can sit neatly by a window and sparkle in the light, or she can just hang out on a bookshelf or worktable. Basically, any flat surface you think will bring you or someone you know some joy—all the birds were designed and developed by artist Moira Buchanan. And all are original works and one-off art pieces.
