Little Snapper is based on Adalime Illustration’s original designs. However, Snapper is a little bigger compared to the previous birds. In fact, in the last year, birds like Snapper have been worked on using an updated template. All birds are handmade. Each glass section making up the birds’ profile is cut out before they are placed into position.
As with the original designs, the current birds are made with vibrant and subtle tones from carefully selected glass. Snapper has a beautiful opaque blue for a wing, a translucent dark blue for his head, and a subtle light blue for the chest and lower body area. To finish, the addition of complimentary colours—orange to his beak and amber to his tail—brings his whole personality to life.

The little sculptures are based on colourful birds. In some cases Adalime Illustrations will work on garden birds such as robins, Blue Tits and Blackbirds, notably, it is the abstract birds that are just as fun an item for any home.
